Meezan Car Ijarah 2026: Eligibility, Down Payment & Installments

If you’re considering Meezan Car Ijarah in Pakistan, it offers a Shariah-compliant way to finance a vehicle without using a conventional interest-based car loan. Meezan Bank buys the car and leases it to you for an agreed period. You then pay a monthly rental under the Ijarah agreement.

If you’re comparing Meezan car financing options, focus on a few key points before applying. These include your eligibility, the required security deposit, monthly rental, financing period, vehicle requirements, and other charges. The actual terms can vary based on your profile, the car you choose, and the bank’s current policy.

What Is Meezan Car Ijarah?

Meezan Car Ijarah is Meezan Bank’s Islamic way of financing a car. Instead of giving you a conventional car loan, the bank buys the vehicle and leases it to you for an agreed period. You pay a monthly rental during the Ijarah term. Once the agreement ends, the bank can transfer ownership of the car to you under the terms of the agreement.

The main difference from a conventional car loan is how the transaction works. You’re paying rent for the use of a vehicle rather than interest on a traditional loan.

Meezan Bank offers Car Ijarah for new cars. It also has a used-car Ijarah option, but the vehicle must meet the bank’s eligibility and other applicable requirements.

Meezan Car Ijarah Eligibility in 2026

Your eligibility for Meezan Car Ijarah depends on your job or business status, income, and credit history.

If you’re a permanent employee, Meezan Bank says you should have at least three months in your current job and two years of continuous employment history. Contract employees generally need six months in their current job and three years of continuous employment history.

The bank also checks whether your income can comfortably cover the monthly rental. Your net take-home income should generally be more than twice the monthly rental, including Takaful. If you already have other loans or financing, the bank will also consider those monthly payments when assessing your application.

For business owners and self-employed applicants, Meezan Bank generally requires at least two years of continuous involvement in the current business or industry. You’ll also need to provide suitable income and business documents.

Your credit record matters too. The bank checks your e-CIB and other available credit data. Existing defaults or overdue payments can make approval more difficult.

Meezan Car Ijarah Down Payment and Security Deposit

When planning for Meezan Car Ijarah, the security deposit or advance rental is one of the main upfront costs. The amount can vary depending on the vehicle, applicant, and Ijarah program.

Meezan Bank currently lists security deposits starting from 30% for its Car Ijarah facility. Some specific programs have their own requirements. For example, the Meezan Women First Car Ijarah facility lists a minimum 30% security deposit for vehicles.

So, don’t assume that every car will require the same down payment. Check the exact security deposit with Meezan Bank before choosing a vehicle.

You should also keep some money aside for processing, documentation, and other applicable charges. Meezan Bank’s January–June 2026 schedule lists an upfront processing fee of Rs. 3,800 per case for domestic vehicle Ijarah. Other documentation and related charges may apply separately.

How Meezan Car Installments Are Calculated

Your Meezan car installment depends on a few things. These include the car’s price, your security deposit, the amount being financed, Ijarah tenure, applicable rental rate, Takaful, and other charges.

A larger security deposit means you finance less, which can reduce your monthly rental. Choosing a longer tenure can also bring down the monthly payment, but you should check the overall cost before making a decision.

Don’t rely on a fixed figure from an online calculator. Meezan Bank’s applicable rates can change, and the quoted rental may not include costs such as Takaful and tracker charges.

Before applying, work out the full cost. Check the car’s cash price, security deposit, monthly rental, tenure, Takaful, registration, and any other charges you may have to pay.

Documents Required for Meezan Auto Finance

Before applying for Meezan auto finance, make sure you have the required documents ready. For a standard application, Meezan Bank asks for the completed application form, CNIC, a recent photograph, and proof of income.

Salaried applicants may need to provide a salary slip or employment certificate, along with bank statements for the last six months. If you’re a business owner or self-employed, the bank may also ask for documents showing your business or other sources of income.

Having these documents prepared can save time during the application process. It also gives the bank the information it needs to review your income and repayment capacity.

Is Meezan Car Ijarah Suitable for You?

Meezan auto finance may suit you if you’re looking for Islamic car financing and can manage the upfront security deposit and monthly rental. But your salary alone does not decide whether you qualify.

Meezan Bank also looks at your employment or business history, existing loans, credit record, documents, and the vehicle you want to finance.

Keep in mind that the car’s price is only part of the total cost. You may also need to pay a security deposit, monthly rental, registration, Takaful, tracker, documentation fees, and other applicable charges.

Before applying, calculate all these costs and make sure the monthly payment fits comfortably within your budget.
